About RoverTreks
RoverTreks is a travel content platform built by two retired executives who traded careers for a compass. We’re Tom & Karla, and since 2014 we’ve been documenting the stories, places, and practical realities of a life spent moving — country to country, coast to coast, season to season.
We travel internationally one to three months at a time, staying long enough to move past the tourist surface. When we’re home in North America, we explore the continent in our Leisure Travel Van as members of the LTV Leisure Explorers Team. Our stories cover culture, history, food, street art, and the open road — from the Macedonian wine country of Northern Greece to the andouille smokehouses of Louisiana’s River Parishes.
Our work appears in Food, Wine and Travel Magazine, Hellenic News of America, Travel World International Magazine, and across print, radio, and broadcast media. Tom is a member of the Society of American Travel Writers (SATW).
