Meet Penelope. She helps out once in a while with our website backend and social media support. She is a 2008 graduate of Westwood College with a major in Graphic Art and Multimedia Design. Her Full Stack Web Development skills include HTML, CSS, Javascript, JQuery, Bootstrap, and NodeJS.

Penelope brings 10-years of experience promoting entertainment and travel content via social media to her technology projects. Her work in the entertainment industry began in 2007 while she was in college. She set up DCBANDAID to provide social media promotion support to Metro D.C. area musical groups. This effort morphed into social media, talent handler, and panel manager roles at various Cons from 2014 to the present. These include MagFest, AwesomeCon, KatsuCon, and SpartaCon. Currently, she is the panel coordinator for the annual MagFest Cons.

Penelope counts actors Sean Patrick Flannery, Norman Reedus, and Manu Bennett among her legion of personal friends and professional contacts. She was the lead talent handler managing all volunteer talent handlers for SpartaCon 2015 and personal assistant to actor Manu Bennett. She was the personal assistant to actor William Shatner at Awesome Con 2015 and performed similar duties at the 2016 event.

In her spare time, Penelope trains as a stunt actor with and serves as the social media coordinator the DC Stunt Coalition. You can see some of her stunt acting movie roles in the IMDB.

Penelope also works as a role player for law enforcement agencies in active shooter, hostage, terrorist and other training scenarios. Currently, she performs role playing scenarios for the U.S. Army at Fort Stewart, Georgia.
